Monday October 27th Sweet Nicole returned home to our Father in Heaven. Being a part of Nicoles journey through service and love for her family, has forever changed the lives of many families and individuals. Over the last few years I have heard my own children include Nicole and her family in each and every prayer. Her time on earth was short. Nicoles impact however, was imeasurable.
Over the last few days countless condolences have been posted to the family facebook page. Nurses and staff who were changed by the privilege of caring for Nicole. Strangers who happened upon Nicoles story through social media. Friends who grieve. Family who yearns. Parents with angels of their own. Nicole was a fighter. The faith of her family has been an astounding example of true faith. Finding comfort in our sweet Redeemer. Placing Nicole in His hands. Trusting. Hoping. Praying.
Monday November 3rd at 6:00 there will be a memorial 5k walk to honor this little warrior and her family. The walk will take place along the same route in Hyrum that was used for Nicoles Color Me Orange. The course map can be found above. At each mile mark there will be a stop. Orange balloons will be released to illuminate the evening sky on their way to the heavens at these stops. A mile for each year of her precious life...
Dress warm and bundle your kiddos as the forecast predicts chilly weather. There will be a few packages of orange glow sticks available at the start line. You can also purchase 5 for $1 at most Dollar Tree stores. The road way will not be blocked or traffic controlled. You will need to be aware of the traffic for the safety of yourself and family. Strollers, bikes, scooters welcome. Bring a flashlight and follow the route while you honor an angel. Hot chocolate will be available at Blacksmith Park.
Rest in Peace Sweet Nicole.
